Why engage with older people?

Now is the time to engage.

Right now in the UK, the over-50s represent 80 per cent of the country's wealth - equivalent to almost £280 billion. And this is a market that's growing.

In the UK today, people over 50 outnumber those aged between 18 and 34 by more than 7 million. In ten years' time, this figure will increase to over 10 million. Clearly, the ageing population offers huge potential for business.

To meet this challenge, a unique membership organisation called engage has been set up to help businesses like yours develop this potential.

In addition, engage has access to a wealth of knowledge, data and experience in this community through its affiliation with the charity Age Concern and Help the Aged.

In April 2009 the two charities joined together to form the largest and most influential older people's charity in the UK, giving engage direct contact with over 5 million older people, as well as over 45 years' experience in researching and meeting the needs of the older population.
