About engage
engage is a unique business network, set up by the charity Age Concern and Help the Aged. It brings companies together to share expertise in meeting the needs and requirements of older consumers, to promote best practice, and to advise on adapting business models and products for an ageing society.
In the UK people aged over 50 currently spend £250 billion a year, which accounts for over 40 per cent of total consumer spending. engage was set up in response to this changing demographic within society and the implications it has for business.
The engage network already has over 50 members, representing multiple consumer-facing business sectors across the UK and the world. These include British Gas, DSG, Marks & Spencer, Microsoft, Sky, Barclays and McDonalds.
Through the engage business network, members can access a range of services designed to give them a better understanding of the needs of older consumers. This includes seminars and conferences as well as consultancy and training. In addition, members can also access information from the ongoing market intelligence research programme run by the network which aims to better understand the 50+ market.
To become members of the engage business network businesses have to pay an annual fee of £1,000.
